I took my parents on a trip to western Canada and Washington state since they always wanted to do something like that.

I flew from Vancouver to Osaka Kansai Airport on August 15th. It was a looong flight, especially being alone. But flying is fun so it was alright. I'm not a big fan of Japanese food, so what they gave us to eat was pretty gross I thought

There isn't much to report from this day because I spent most of it alternating between writhing in bed in a delirious stupor and hovering over the bathroom toilet everytime I tried to keep down even a sip of water. A 2 day hike in Yoho national park, British Columbia, Canada.

I went for a conference in Vancouver in summer 2007. So I stayed there for some days and then travelled to Edmonton and Calgary as well.

Taking the ferry from Swartz Bay (Victoria) on Vancouver Island to Tsawassen (Vancouver) can be a very pleasant trip at any time of the year, here are a few photos from my last trip Nov.2007.

Taking the opportunity to travel a little way outside Vancouver to Chilliwack, I checked out the gorgeous Minter Gardens there. It was hard not to take endless photos of the stunning landscape and flowers there... as you can see! ;)

The Fairmont Empress Hotel, located In Victoria's, BC, Canada. It sits right downtown overlooking the Inner Harbor. This is their 16th Annual festival of Trees. It goes from December to January.

Went to Vancouver to have a week conference in my field. Only able to travel around after 5pm everyday and the weekend. Vancouver is a cool place with lovely weather and modern facilities.

Majestic road trip through the Washington and Canada.

If you come to Vancouver you must go to to Stanley Park. 1000 acres on the edge of downtown full off trees, water and squirrels. This is only one KM from my house. The photos are roughly in the order you would see them if you drove through the park. Later I will also do a proper review of the park.
