The best place to eat on Praslin Oct 25, 2009
Britannia Hotel and Restaurant is set a bit inland from the Grand Anse Beach and serves the best food on Praslin. It is not the cheapest option, but worth every penny! The food was absolutely fantastic, the service excellent and very efficient. The ambience was lovely, warm and homy and we felt very welcome.
We went back several evenings and tried smoked fish salad, fish soup, fish curry, tuna steak, kebabs, job fish fillet and different desserts. All the dishes were prepared to perfection. The staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful, which made the hole experience even better. You can pay in Euro, American dollar, Seycelles rupies or major credit cards. Very convenient indeed! I can highly recommend this restaurant! Britannia is also a small hotel with 8 tastefully decorated rooms with balcony, set around a swimming pool. Unfortunately we did not stay here, something I regret. The hotel rates were: € 120/144 single/double for Bed & Breakfast and €144/194 single/double for Half board
