Bristol Vacation Guide
Located in Northeast TN and Southwest VA, Bristol is a small town with many great attractions. When crossing into Bristol from either TN or VA, you will be welcomed by a huge lighted sign, that crosses over State St. and indicates which side of the street each state is on.
Bristol is the home of country music and a popular Nascar venue. The Country Music Museum and Bristol Motor Speedway Tours are not to be missed. Additionally, there are some great antique stores lining both sides of State Street.
If museums and shops are not your thing, there are also many beautiful outdoor venues to visit in Bristol. The Virginia Creeper trail is a wonderful bike trail that spans several miles through Southwest VA. In the summer, the park in downtown Bristol shows movies for free and attracts local bands.
Bristol TN/VA is a great place to visit if you are looking for a quiet, low-key vacation in which you can truly relax.

We drove over to the visitor center so we could find more information on fun things to do in the area. And guess who we met? It was a Flat Dolly Parton! …

I flew from Washington DC to Longbeach CA then my immediate family and I piled into a minivan for a superfast attempt at crossing the US. I took pictures, most of which are from the back seat of the tinted window minivan, but some of which are through the windshield and a few are actually from times we stopped. Enjoy.
