A great place for young and old Jun 20, 2011
Bristol is currently the 6th largest city in England and I'd say the night life in Bristol is at least top three! As Bristol has two universities there is a large contingent of young people living there. This has led to a large variety of clubs and bars to cater for them, with many offering good deals to draw you in!

As a former student, my experience of the Bristol night life has mainly been going to bars and clubbing. Generally in the city centre you will find bars rather than pubs. However if you go a bit further out of the centre up Gloucester road, you are likely to find a more traditional English pub. As for the centre, you are spoilt for choice for bars! Some are inevitably cheaper than others though so if you want cheap go to Wetherspoons and if you want more upper end go to Pitcher and Piano.

There are well over ten nightclubs in Bristol and so you have a choice again! Every club has a night which has different deals on drinks and entry, so have a look on the internet before you go out! Most clubs also have varying types of music so again check that out before you go out too!

One thing I'd say about clubs is that generally week nights are student nights and therefore are going to be cheaper than those at the weekend!

As well as nightclubs and bars, there are also an abundance of good restaurants, theatres and cinemas to choose from if you aren't feeling like drinking!

If you need more information on clubs, bars or restaurants then have a look at my reviews of some of them! I recommend Bristol to anyone for a good night out!!
