Typical Costa Rican food, cooked fresh and right on the beach. Hang out with the locals and try the Ceviche! Aug 12, 2008
Super cheap, this is my favourite place to eat in all of Punta Banco!
Brisas del Mar can be found about 30 minutes walk from Punta Banco and an hour or so away from Pavones on foot. It is open 365 days a year. I went here for breakfast on Christmas day last year and it was business as usual!

Food ranges from the staple of rice and beans in Gallo Pinto for breakfast, (rice and beans mixed with Salsa Lizano and coriander), usually served with an egg or some sausage, Casado for dinner, (rice and beans with meat, fish or vegetables, to more American style options like burgers and french fries.

What I love most to eat here though, is the seafood. All locally caught, you can choose from fresh fish, (filleted or whole), Ceviche, (diced raw fish cooked in lemon juice with onion, chilli and cilantro), Squid, Octopus, Mussels all served with rice and salad...cooked to perfection over a traditional wood burning stove. We have even caught our own fish at times and had these cooked and served for us!
Meals here are cheap, portion sizes are big and meals are served with a smile.

This is an excellent place for families, couples, anyone and everyone. You can even have food to takeaway if you are on the move. Well worth a visit, and then you shall probably pop by at least once a day while you are in town!
Me enjoying the view and salivat...
