Brieskow-Finkenheerd Vacation Guide

Brieskow-Finkenheerd is a village located near the Polish border between the cities Frankfurt/Oder and Eisenhuettenstadt.
This village is mostly known for its dramatic role during the big century flood in 1997, when large areas in and around Brieskow-Finkenheerd were flooded drastically.

The close location to the river Oder, two lakes in the middle of the forest and the nearby recreational area called ‘Schlaubetal’ make it interesting for tourists, who want to relax and enjoy flora and fauna. Just hop on a bike and discover a lot of interesting spots.
One quite neat attraction is the Japanese Stone Garden, which is nicely designed and privately owned.
If you like fish dishes the local fish restaurant ‘Fischer Schneider’ might be a nice place for a good meal.
Thanks to a rail connection to the nearest cities it’s much easier for tourists to arrive.
