Bridgeport Overview

Bridgeport is part of Mono county. It is a quaint town that has the finest sceneries in the Eastern Sierra. Bridgeport boasts amazing lakes, mountain vistas, hot springs, rivers and of course the gorgeous views of the High Sierras. Activities in this town can be as exciting as fishing, camping, hiking, backpacking, etc. This town's elevation is 6463 feet (1970 m) in the middle of the Bridgeport Valley. Bridgeport is located at the intersection of US Highway 395 and California State Route 182. When visiting the town it will be nice to stop by at the Mono County Courthouse for some photographs as well as the oldest hotel in town which is known to be haunted! Another good destination in Bridgeport is the well-preserved ghost town, Bodie Ghost Town a State National Park.
