Bridge Lounge

Bridge Lounge is a nice bar located in the lower garden district, a bit out of the way for the average tourist and popular with locals. Pets (dogs) are allowed inside and out. Pictures of dogs line the bar's walls. The bar is spacious, there is seating inside (booths and tables along one side, and stools along the bar on the other) and out along the street. Dimly lit, it's a nice place to spend an evening, but not all night. It does get very crowded some days of the week around 11-12p.m./a.m. and stays full until about 2'ish, sometimes a bit later. I would recommend going earlier to enjoy the atmosphere when it isn't quite so crowded - much more pleasant that way. It is usually a mixed crowd - young and older professionals, students (usually about graudate school age), and people from the neighbourhood. Definitely not the type of crowd you would find in the Quarter. Extensive wine and alcohol lists. Good place to have a well made mojito! Great bar to get together with friends.
Important to note: after dark be careful! This area isn't the safest after dark, not many businesses in the area nor a heavy police prescence. Best not to park too far away or just use taxi service.
