Worth my $200, it was superb! Mar 11, 2011
Brian Lara is an infamous cricket player and has been described as the "Michael Jordan" of cricket. He hosts an annual Carnival fete on his property for Carnival and it was unbelievable.

If you live there or have been several times, it seems like quite an expensive and overdone event, but if you have never been, it is worth it. They had an extensive menu: sushi, Polynesian, BBQ, Creole, Chinese, Indian, and wild meat (curried turtle, boar, deer and other options). They had a wine bar, a premium bar, served champagne and nuvo. They had a separate dessert table as well as a huge stage. In 2011, Destra performed and we left early, but I understand Machel Montano performed as well. The view is fantastic, the music was great and the upscale crowd was very entertaining to watch-some people were wonderfully dresses while other wandered around quite scandalously.

Others feel the cost of the ticket is their way to donate to the cancer center in downtown Port of Spain. I enjoyed my fancy evening, but it may not be for everyone.

Geesh-that's one big ole house!
