Brew Moon Restaurant and Microbrewery Honolulu Reviews
Last Resort May 04, 2008
My cousin and I ended up at Brew Moon since it was the only restaurant nearby other than fast food that was open on a Sunday evening.
Service was slow even though there were only a few patrons in the dining area.
I ordered Furikake crusted halibut. Furikake is a Japanese condiment consisting of flaked nori (seaweed sushi wrapper), sesame seeds, salt, sugar, and MSG. My cousin had the Chinese chicken salad.
The flavor on the fish was really good but it was slightly overcooked. The bed of rice that it was sitting atop of was overcooked and mushy...gross.
The only pro for this restaurant is the patio dining area. TVs are dispersed around...I bet this is a great place to watch a game. However, the food wasn't that great especially at its price point. Must be because it is in the Waikiki area?
Eat here at your own risk!
