Best Crepes in Paris Mar 05, 2011
If you are looking for truly authentic Breton crepes in Paris, this is the place to go. Set in the middle of the charming Marais district, they use extremely fresh, local, organic-when-possible ingredients to make the most perfect crepes I have ever eaten. I had a wonderful galette (a savory buckwheat crepe) with ham, gruyere cheese, cider braised onions, and a perfectly over easy egg that moistened every delicious bite.

Of course, no crepe is complete without drinking the obligatory 'cidre' or hard cider from Brittany. Order yourself a carafe of this stuff and not only will you sound like you know what you are doing, you will also find that the taste complements the crepes magnificently. Their dessert crepes are also delicious, I had the buckwheat crepe with buckwheat honey and buckwheat ice cream. It was perfectly sweet and original.

Be prepared to wait at this place, it is extremely popular. I waited for an hour and a half, at 2pm! But it was totally worth it. Take a stroll through the neighborhood while you wait, it's one of my favorite areas of Paris.
