Bregenz, the most western town of Austria, the capital of the Voralberg region since 1923, and on the eastern shores of the Bodensee (Lake of Constance), Bregenz is on the cutting edge of the Rhine valley and the foot of the Austrian and Swiss Alps. It is a meeting point for four countries, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Attractions in this small town on the lake includes boat trips on the lake to nearby towns such as Lindau, and a trip up the cable car to the summit of nearby Mountain Pffander (1066m) for excellent views of the lakes, mountains and Bregenz itself.

Drove down from Northern Germany to spend a couple of days visting a friend in the Austrian town of Lustenau.
While I was there we also went up the Bregenz cable cart and also had a gander at the Bodensee.
