For those Westerners who need a traditional western style breakfast - l can recommend a bakery called Bread Talk - you can find this on the shopping malls on Waifunjung Street. Get sweet and savoury breads and a hot coffee. This is really cheap pay around £1.50 for breads and a coffee to kick start your day!
