It's about Argentina, started in Buenos Aires, then Peninsulda Valdes, El Calafate, Torres del Paine in Chili. Then we went to the most southern city of the world, Ushuaia. Our last stop was a visit to the spectacular Iguazu falls at the border of Argentina and Brasil.

Japan has developed an impressive local automobile industry (Toyota, Subaru, etc.), South Korea as well (Hyundai), India is trying to do so (Tata). Most of the industrialized countries created their national car firms (France, Italy, USA, Britain, Sweden, Germany, Russia). Brazil and Argentina developed a huge automobile industry but through the investment of the foreign companies. Discuss why Brazil and Argentina didn’t create their own local automobile brands.

I've been to Porto Alegre several times, but this last one was very special to me because I could feel the hospitality of the people.
There was a CouchSurfing Meeting taking place in the city and then I could talk to local people and we exchanged stories about our travels abroad and so on. I thank Alex, Bruno, Fagner and specially Kerley! You are great people!

BUS JOURNEY
Our last bus trip, woo! And of course it had to be seriously eventful since it was our last one and it certainly didnt dissapoint in that respect! It was suppsoed to be 22 hours and it ended up being 32 hours!
Our first glitch happened whilst getting on the bus itself. Basically the guy checking us on had the responsibility of checking everyones documents, making sure we had all of the correct border stamps which of course we didnt!(read my Iguazu blog for details why) We were p...

I met some really nice Danish girls in Itacare, who visited me afterwards in Cordoba. One night in Itacare we went out for seafood. After a delicious meal, Marie went to use the bathroom and moments later emerged stating that there was water all over the floor in the bathroom and there must be a problem with the toilet. I don't know what inspired me in this moment to say what I said but all I offered was "Sometimes you just have to say 'sorry I messed up your toilet' and move on" Wow Sara...

CASE 1: “Siesta Time” Its Saturday afternoon, around 3:30 and you are hungry. You gather a few friends together with the intentions of having a late lunch. Your options are endless, and you never contemplate the entire town closing down. It is very apparent by the vast and growing obesity rate in the United States"but simply put, we NEVER go hungry in the States! So it was Saturday (6/24), and it was around 3:30, so we decided to wander around to find a local...

Argentina has Tango. Spain has Flamenco. What does Brazil have? Brazil has Samba, Carnival & Funk. These musical genres are what I have been exposed to during my travels in South America. Out of all the listed genres, the only one I was familiar was National Rock and that was only because it resembled rock and roll music from the United States. Prior to coming on this trip, I had never actually listened to any Tango, Flamenco or Samba.

Wow! What else is there to say about this place? We arrived on Saturday in Floripa after dusk and were unable to witness all that the countryside has to offer until the next morning. Sunday we awoke to a beautiful morning where we all went on a tour to see the different parts of the island.
Our first stop was at a little look out on top of one of the mountains. It had a wonderful view of our side of Florianopolis. Next we visited the center of the town where the...

You have been asked by the state department to prepare a constitutional overhaul for Brazil. The current electoral system has numerous problems and many complaints. You are to analyze the current electoral system and provide an alternative, describing the incentives for good government that your proposal will bring. To sell the program to the Brazilian public, your proposal must contain at least 3 soccer metaphors.
