Brazil beaches are year round useable [except for the southern part of the country] with 4,578 miles of coastline packed with foot-friendly sand. Beware travelling Brazil in the summer holiday Dec-Feb [school holidays and Carnival time], when domestic transportation and accommodation can be expensi…

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil -› Brazil -› …
Around 5 am this morning, there was someone strange walking around in our hotel, whoever it was, knocked on all the doors. I did not dare to open the door as there was no peek hole.
I get up this morning and go have a breakfast in the little hotel, its simple but good, some type of fruit jui…

Spent a fairly easy day today. Walked into town after breakfast and dropped our laundry off (it was ready 2 hours later, so pretty good service!). Then walked up to the old fort that sits just above the town. It was actually closed today, but we were able to walk around the ground…

Festa de Junia is a holiday of sorts that is very popular in the state of Minias Gerias. It is sort of the equivalent of a summer barbeque, but instead is in the middle of winter (june), because Brasil gets super hot in the summer.
Festa de Junia is a celebration of the ranching culture that…

Sao Paulo, Brazil -› -› …
Sao Paulo is the biggest city in Brazil, it doesn't need any introduction else.
This is a big city lcoated in SE Brazil, 30 minutes driving from the beaches like Santos and Praia Grande. The best beaches are farther, you can get there driving more 30 minutes.
There are so many interesting things to do and see in this big city. A lot of museums, shopping malls, pubs, restaurants, night clubs, etc.
You need at least 5 days to travel through Sampa!
Have fun!
Cheers,
Andre

Actually this is not a travel blog because I'm going to tell how my hometown looks like.
If you're coming to Sao Bernardo you will find a big city that looks like a smaller town, not that country side ones of course.
Sao Bernardo is 20 minutes driving from Sao Paulo downtown and 30 minutes driving from the beaches, like Santos.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you're looking for tips and advise.
Cheers to everyone :)

Rio de Janeiro (Hee-oh) was a great chance for us to settle into the country, try and learn a few words in Portuguese, discover all about the Angolan slave trade in the 17th and 18th centuries but to mainly do bugger all and lie on Copacabana beach for two days sipping cerveza and caipirinhas.

Something about my country. The pics were taken during my weekends and most from my work trips... Too bad that I don´t have time to enjoy the cities when I´m working there. At least I take one pic for my memories.

We all arrived separately, so it was a happy reunion with my friends on the 22nd floor of Building G, in the Morado do Sol condominium complex. I'm not sure what the big deal was, but no one could believe I had made it in high heels. I was just in time, because Beto and Luis, our neighb…
