The most spectacular waterfalls I've ever seen were in Puerto Iguazu, Aregtina and Foz de Iguazu, Brazil's side. Then I made my way to Rio de Janeiro for Carnival and it was definitely one of the most craziest experiences of my life. I stayed in Copacabana at the Stone of a Beach Hostel that has a bar/pool on the roof...it's great! I had an amzing time out there and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing you have to be very careful about is pick-pocketers, they are everywhere! :(

Spending a New Year's in Brazil had always been something I wanted to do, and I got that chance to spend the '08 New Year in Rio de Janeiro. Copacabana Beach is the place to be with the fireworks and the atmosphere of millions of Brazilians having a great time!
