Great city in Santa Catarina State, Brazil.
Ok, it's not a beach paradise, far of this.. not even has a carnival.. but it's a great destination for who wants to work. Is a business city with amazing restaurants and, if you have some creativity you'll enjoy a lot.

I just got back from the most amazing week in Brazil, it is a contender for my favorite country ever. Great food, great music, great people, great beaches. I now have a couple days to write 2 essays and an internship project before Mom gets here and I play tour guide, so I am going to just put up the photos with captions so you know what I was up to and get a sense of how great it was, and hopefully when I get back to the States I will have enough time to write a better journal about the trip…

I got over Vitória 15 years later my first time out there. It's impressive to see how different it is, there are so many factories and companies dedicated to Oil & Gas industry, like Petrobras and Technip.

Caxias do Sul is a very beautiful city located in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul.
This city and surrounding region was settled by European people, especially Germans and Italians.
It's a rich region for wine and food!!!

After leaving pretty quickly through Foz Do Iguazu due to rain we arrived in Florianopolis with high hopes of a bit of sun and after the first day which was a bit cloudy we weren't dissappointed! We went to check out a beach in the north of the Island and although windy it had a nice little bay with some boats and a lady who tried to sell us underwear! We walked around the little village and Claire bought a hammock - although with no idea where she'll put it at home! Florianopolis also had a …

Poor folks don’t seem to get much respect over here, but they sure have the best views. To learn why, you have to go to the famous shantytowns, called favelas. We decided to make this trip, despite advice from friend who had visited Brazil and also from Riva, a Brazilian himself. You will be surprise to learn that many Brazilians consider favelas a no-go zone and most have not been inside a favela before. There are estimated to have 750 favelas and spread around the middle and upper-class n…

Ist night in Rio at the Maracana Stadium to see the Flamengos play.
Took the funicular train up the mountains or Corcodova to Cristo Redentor.
Went on a Favela Tour to the Rocinho Favela on the 2nd March to see the slums of Rio and how the people live.
Had a Capoeira and A Samba night in the hostel with the people from the Rocinho Favela. They were able to do the most incredible stuff!
Saw sunset on Ipanema and Copacabana that night.

Campo Limpo is a small town located between Sao Paulo and Jundiai. There's only one big company - ThyssenKrupp Metallurgy - and there's so much to do in this town.
The most interesting place to go it the Culture House, open from Monday to Sunday.
