As usual I went to Sao Sebastiao do Paraiso this Christmas in order to celebrate it with my family and my relatives of my mother's side.

When I was living in Buenos Aires I took a few weeks to travel around Brazil. It was amazing!

So finally, 9 o'clock pm going directly to the airport.. so excited because our adventure was about to begin from the moment we put our feet on the plane. I turn on my ipod with a typical brasilian song... so the samba notes were already flowing through my veins, i just need it to be on the tone, actually is something i do everytime i'm travelling to somewhere, feel the place, lifestyle, culture by my precious music. Day 1 - We are off to Búzios for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of Rio. – For more sun, sand & swim. Just a 2 hour bus ride east of Rio is beautiful Búzios. When we arrive, and after a rip off R$10 taxi for two blocks (silly tourists, not knowing where the hell they are) we arrive at our little villa hostel.   Rio scenarium is one of the beautiful bars in Rio , the old colonial mansion with 3 floors is decked from top to bottom with antiques and remnants of Rio's past.The food was splendid , as was the samba band .Set in the historic Lapa area of Rio , definately a spot to visit for a night to remember .      

Just updated the blog about the last day of our trip. Posted up a few pictures. And concluded my trip that was Brazil. I will be doing a wrap up later this week. I just got back from 2 spectacular weeks in Florianopolis.  I got to hike the Trilha do Morro das Aranhas, which was not my first time, but nonetheless, it was flippin' SICK!  And I also got to hike the Trilha da Lagoinha do Leste -- my new favorite hike on the island.  Florianopolis has 42 beaches, and I have now visited all but one -- on the Ilha do Campeche.

I went to Brazil but I didn't keep a detailed journal like I did for Peru. Brazil was goddamn awesome. I would go there again in a heartbeat, and if they end up hosting the world cup in 2014 I will try my ass off to go back.
