 Tour down to the samba roots!! Feb 09, 2009
I wanted to enjoy the “samba” (a popular and characteristic brazillian rhythm) down with the locals, at samba schools in the suburbs (where they say it started), but I had heard from some people that I shouldn’t go by myself in that direction, so once I heard from a friend that Brazil Expedition had a samba trip that took me to and from one of the major samba schools, I didn’t hesitate. What a blast! The atmosphere is so involving and friendly! The tour guides were very friendly and it didn’t hurt that their English was fluent. I liked it so much that I booked another tour around Rio with Brazil Expedition that very week!
