Brayka Bay Resort Marsa Alam

In the summer of 2007 I stayed at Brayka Bay Reef Resort in Marsa Alam, Egypt. It’s a very beautiful resort 5 star resort situated at the Red Sea Coast. The rates are pretty good for a 5 star accommodation. The resort is very big, with different blocks of rooms wich are spread out over the resort. That’s the only downside because to get to some blocks you have to take a lot of stairs. I didn’t really mind tough.. There is one main – restaurant, there is an Italian restaurant (Da Mario) and a SeaFood Restaurant (Hemmingway’s ) aswell. The prices at these restaurants are extremely low. You can pay in euro’s but you can also pay in Egyptian Pounds. I didnt eat at the SeaFood restaurant but the food at Da Mario’s was nice. The resort has a private bay wich is really great for snorkling! The animation team is originally Italian but the members all speak a lot of different languages and they organise sportsactivities, a mini-club for the children, shows in the evening and even salsa lessons! There is a diving school and a golfcourse, you can rent a quad and take a camelride. and ofcourse there's a pool but I was so busy snorkling in the bay that I didn't go to the pool at all! The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpfull and the rooms are very nice and clean. If you visit the Red Sea Coast I can really recommend this resort especially because the reefs in the area are very nice!
