Brave Hendrik

Brave Hendrik is a restaurant near the centre of Den Haag. It is owned by a young couple who just took it over. There is seating for 60 persons and the food is great. The beer is great to ;-) You can also play darts and shoot some pool.

Simply my favorite restauran in the hague, just outside the centre of the city, great food, nice and caring people. french like kitchen, a la carte (changing every 3 month).

Brave Hendrik is a lovely cafe-restaurant/pub in the centre of Den Haag. A lovely place to spend the evening, great relaxed atmosphere plus really yummy grub. Two menu's on offer here - the standard, cheaper pub style menu and the restaurant menu, a little more a la carte, if you fancy something a bit fancier!

I enjoyed the chicken kebabs with the most beautiful peanut satay sauce I have ever tasted in my entire life (and I've sampled many, it's HUGE here in The Netherlands for some reason-though I am never going to get used to the strange combination of mixing it with mayonnaise and caking it all over your fries?!? Bleurgh!) An ample portion of tasty chicken with fries and salad-highly recommend this dish.

Jaap enjoyed a steak with Dauphinoise potatos, fries and salad, again beautifully prepared and presented (Shame I forgot to take a photo of the lovely potato tower before Jaap demolished it!)

If you are in the neighbourhood, tired from the sightseeing or shopping in Den Haag then you must pay this place a visit :-D
