Bratislava Old Town Hall Jan 15, 2017
One of the city's oldest buildings, the Old Town Hall was constructed in 1460. It served as the town hall for Bratislava from the 15th century until nearly the beginning of the 19th. In that nearly 400 year span the building served not only as a town hall but also as a mint, arsenal. archive, and even housed a prison Today the Bratislava Museum which depicts the history of the town is on the first floor of the facility.

We visited the Old Town Hall as part of the free museum day on a late April; Sunday. The first floor museum had some great exhibits and models showing the history of the town. However a big crowd formed beginning on the first floor to see the Old Town Hall tower. The tower offers some commanding 360 degree views of the town. There is also a very nice interior courtyard that has been well preserved.
