Great views from the top Aug 23, 2012
Castle Entrance €4.

Average Exhibiton, nice grounds but awesome views form the top. There is one feature of interest that made the admission worthwhile. That was climbing to the top of the one interior turret inside the castle, the Crown Tower. The climb was very steep, and every person who made it to the top was out of breath. But the view really is outstanding.

There is a room that is filled with pictures over the years of Bratislava castle. But, really, how many drawings of the same structure can one gaze upon?

From ancient times to Da Vinci's experiments Apr 03, 2008
Bratislava Castle rises above the Donau and dates back to ancient celtic and Moravian times. Today it houses exhibits of the Slovak National Musseum and has changeing exhibtions. While I was there it was:

1. Old archeological exhibit.

2. Exhibit of religious artifacts

3. History of the Fujare.

4. Big theme exhibit on Leonardo Da Vinci's Codex Atlanticus.

The Bratislava Castle exhibitions are inovative and interesting and even if you should be there at at time where they have exhibits that doesnt interest you - just walking around the park is an experience of it's own and should not be missed by anyone.

Bratislava Castle is a must-see if you are in Bratislava. Its located on the hill over Old town and is easily accessible from the entire city. There are three museums in the castle

1) Treasure of coins in Slovakia

2) Mikuláš Schneider - Trnavský

3) Another Museum. It was pretty interesting

The view from the castle windows are magnificent. Its worth the trip up here just to sit down and relax to see the right and the left side of the danube. The difference in architecture is amazing and really worth a look. On the way down you might catch Museum of clocks if you are into that
