Brassey of Canberra Reviews
Average hotel close to parliament house Jan 04, 2016
I stayed at this hotel for one night in Dec 2015.
The hotel is located in a residential area close to the Parliament.
Therefore, it was a little bit dead around the hotel and you had to drive or walk (10-15 min) to an area with shops and restaurants.
My room was very big and had the typical facilities and amenities.
The bed was quite short. A/C was very loud and blew the cold air directly on the bed, so I switched it off at night. There was a lot of noise from a neighbor room. The bathroom was rather small and didn't have any storing racks.
Cleanliness was ok.
A small parking lot is directly in front of the hotel.
Staff was helpful and friendly and the room rate was quite ok.
Although it is quiet and very green, I didn't really like the location. The room was rather average. For one night it was ok, and I might consider staying again if the room rate is good. For a longer stay I would definitely choose a nicer hotel in better location (ok, don't know if there's a better location in Canberra after all ;-)
