Brasserie le Tagalou Lyon Reviews
Brasserie le Tagalou Dec 04, 2009
We were in the need of getting some heat and we were tired of walking and looking for a taxi so we wanted to find a café to get some rest. Our choice fell on Brasserie le Tagalou situated on Quai Joseph Gillet which actually is not that far from where our hotel was situated.
When we entered we saw that the place also filled function as a heating place for a whole school bus of young people; they were playing cards and drinking coca cola´s. On a couple of other tables there were some of the regular customers sitting ready to help the barman if it came to that.
The waiter was a nice guy eager to help and he quickly left his buddies when we went for the bar. I had my first cold beer Lyon for this time in there. The café in general was not one that I would hang out in; it had a cold interior with any feeling. The one place that was worth staying in there was at the bar.
One of the real drunk regulars had probably had some bad luck the day before falling down some stairs or done some street surfing with his face, because he looked like mess in his face. He kept on talking to us after we had expressed out wish for a taxi; it was not that we understood anything of what he said.
