Brasserie Tour Eiffel Paris Reviews
Good food, overcrowded Dec 28, 2008
We had been strolling through Paris for quite a while and coming from Paris top attraction the Eiffel Tower we were feeling our stomachs protesting. So we were looking for a restaurant to relax and reload our batteries. We stumbled into brasserie Tour Eiffel, just around the corner on Quai Branly along the Seine river.
When we entered a few tables were vacant, so we got one instantly. The tables are small and there's not much space between them so you can't really sit comfortably.
It took a while before the waiter was able to take our order. In the meanwhile the restaurant was being infested from the two entrances by loads of tourists. They had to wait for a table. People were standing everywhere, even next to our table. The waiters couldn't cope with that and the atmosphere turned anything but relaxing.
Patience is a virtue, we finally were served and could try to enjoy our food and drinks. Being observed by a few people waiting we managed to eat and drink. I must say, the food was OK, but it was a relieve being able to pay our bill and leave the place.
To conclude, the brasserie Tour Eiffel is a typical Paris restaurant, but situated near the Eiffel tower it can be too crowded. We were visiting the place early February and wonder how it will be in the more touristy months....
