Brasserie Poelaert Brussels Reviews
Nice place for a quiet lunch Aug 06, 2008
Not far away from where I lived in the area of Place Chatelain I sometimes went for the Brasserie Poelaert situated closely to the Parliament of Brussels. The restaurant had a very nice outdoor area were you could view the whole square. In the summertime you can sit outside and even if it is not one of the coziest areas of Brussels, it is really enjoyable and it is a place where you can be pretty much alone.
Inside it is pretty dark but it looks pretty nice; there are loads of tables in dark wood. The sofas are made in brown leather look-alike and their tables are nicely decorated. It is a place that I never have seen crowded and it is therefore quite nice if you want to sit and talk.
Their food is quite good and most of the times I have been there I have gone for a Salad Nicoise, which both is nice and quite delicate and so are their ice desserts as well.
