Brasilia Vacation Guide
Brasilia is capital of Brazil. The city is build in four years in 60`s by president Juscelino Kubitschek. He decided to move capital from Rio de Janeiro because of a lots of protests agains the goverment. The city is really diferent from other parts of Brazil - full of working ambicious people.
The city has unique urbanism. It's in shape of "plane". There are monuments (modern cathedrale, tv tower, theatre, museums, ministry departments) and pubic areas in the cocpit (in the captain position is office of president :). Transport is designed for cars only (even there is a tunel to cathedrale for direct entrance from car :) so all distances are huge and sometimes its hard to cross 14 strips higway. On the other hand its really efficient if you have a car. In the wings are residential areas. All of that has adress system which you can really easilly understand on that place so its almost imposible to get lost or dont know how to get somewhere :)
In comparison to other brazil's places Brasilia is sligthly more expansive, and there are no cheap hostels in the city centre.
