Brandberg White Lady Lodge Uis Reviews
Lodge at the foot of the Brandberg Mountains Mar 01, 2008
"Tranquility is the name of the game". That's how this location is described on the lodge's web site and it certainly suits the place really well. Okay well occasionally, during the dry season a herd of desert elephants may come and disrupt the tranquility but then what a show!
Apart from a couple of storms during the same day it certainly was tranquil when I stayed in Brandberg White Lady Lodge. I was the only guest so had the attention of the entire staff! It was still off peak season.
The lodge is located along the Ugab River and faces the Brandberg Mountains where you may want to climb the highest point in the country at 2606m. It has beautiful gardens and awesome views.
Rooms are about 200m from the lodge. They are comfortable. Lights run on battery and the staff will come to start a fire at the back of your chalet to heat up the hot water tank.
The White Lady rock paintings are not too far away and are really worth a visit.
