Cycling around London Mar 04, 2011
My first day flying into London, A) got robbed 5 hours of valuable sleep B) arrived in my hotel at 11am only to be told check-in isnt until 1pm C) Starving as hell. So after I've taken care of all three, I decided to take the Brakeaway Bike Tour I saw on Tripadvisor. It was between this and Fat Tire Bike Tour. I figured I'd do one of each. I emailed for specific directions and Chris replied right away with detailed directions; i practically couldnt get lost. It looked a little sketchy at first being that you have to walk into a semi-dark tunnel with graffiti all over. As i walked closer to the middle, I saw two other girls already riding around their beach-cruiser [uber cute!] bikes. Chris came up to me and introduced himself. BTW for all you Justin Timberlake die-hard fans, he LOOKS and totally resembles him, probably even cuter! So it was us three girls and Chris and we got the tour started. It was a bit scary at first just trying to get accustomed to the UK's streets [looking right first, then left] but we eventually got the hang of it. We did the Secret London tour which was mostly on the East side, and despite the cold weather, it was totally worth it. Within 10-15 minutes, we got our blood pumping and we were on those pedals like nothing! Since it was a small group, it felt like a private tour and we got all the pictures we wanted and all the answers to anything UK-related. The tour was only supposed to run about approximately 3 hours but it seemed so much longer than that! At the end, he even gave us a great recommendation to a cheap, Thai restaurant with a BYOB feature! More than a great way to end the wonderful tour!

THE best way to see London Jun 09, 2010
This absolutetely the best way to see London. We have taken both the Grand London tour, as well as the Secret London Tour, with BrakeAway Bike Tours and I can honestly say that this is the best value for money tour in town.

Riding a bike is so much more fun than getting on a tour bus and you get to see so many places that you wouldn't have otherwise known existed. Both of the tours had a local guide, which really enhanced the experience and the cruiser bikes are very cool indeed. I would definitely recommend this as a great way to see London..
See the Lord's by bike.
