Bovington Tank Museum Jul 31, 2009
I visited the Tank museum many years ago when I was little but it has recently been renovated and in june was opened by the Queen. I went today and was really impressed. The new wing is dedicated to the history of the tank from WW1 to present day. there is also a new "through the trenches walk that gives a really great impression of what it was like in the trenches. after that there is a whole area full of tanks. If you are an avid tank fanatic then this part you will love but for those of us that aren't as keen on tanks this becomes more of the same old same old.

So whether you are a fan of tanks or not it is a really interesting place to visit. We managed to get a guided tour which was very helpful and meant we didn't have to read everything! We also were able to climb inside a chieftan tank (modern one) and be given a guide by a veteran tank commander. It was amazing.

Price wise it is ok, reduced price for disabled, oaps, and under 16s, unfortunatly no reductions for students.
