Great New Orleans food in NYC! Aug 25, 2008
We found this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. This place is a little bit of the town we love - New Orleans - in NYC. The front of the restaurant looks as many restaurants and buildings do down in NO. Great design! There is a happy little alligator in an alcove outside the door to the restaurant. He just needs an Abita beer (local LA beer) to complete his look! The inside of the restaurant has a great bar, very long, dark wood...longer tables in the bar area and booths as well as outside entry level and balcony seating. Bartender poured healthy shots and made great Bloody Mary's!

I ordered the Shrimp and Scrambled a puff pastry with an andoulle cream. This was SOOOO good! Definitely recommend it! Al had the Roasted Chicken "Bonne Femme", others had Shrimp Po'Boys, Oysters Rockefeller, and the Crab Oscar. The portions of food were just right, the quality was wonderful, atmosphere was warm and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone in the city or heading there!
