One of the Best on the Riverwalk Dec 07, 2012
There are several restaurants on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and as a tourist unfamiliar with the area, it can be hard to decipher between the good ones and those that simply mass produce mediocre food to cycle as many people through as possible. Boudros falls into the former category. With exceptional service and a unique, yet locally flared menu, this place will fill up quickly and reservations should be sought several days in advance, especially for weekend nights. Also a word to the wise, although the terrace dining is pretty, it can get quite stuffy, so should I ever return, I would prefer to sit inside. All-in-all, if I ever return to San Antonio, I will surely go back to Boudros.

Best Guac! Mar 26, 2012
I would recommend this place just for the guacamole!

This place has the freshest, tastiest, most delicious guacamole! Its made fresh at your table right in front of you...you can watch all the ingredients get mixed together. I love this place.

The other stuff on the menu can be kind of pricey, but its tastey as well...

Its located right on the River Walk and is a great place to just stop and relax. Try to get a seat outside and you can watch to riverboats go by :)

Fine dining on the Riverwalk Apr 25, 2008
I recently went up to San Antonio to visit some friends and I had been craving a gourmet meal, but I had not been able to put my finger on what I wanted. We went to several restaurants around San Antonio that didn't match my expectations. Finally I found Boudro's on the Riverwalk and I left completely satisfied.

My friends started out with the guacamole dip. It is made fresh at your table and was very good. I got the wild field mushrooms which were absolutely delightful. The mushrooms come with grilled baked polenta, goat cheese, roma tomatoes and chipolte-thyme demi-glaze. The flavorful goat cheese contrasted nicely with the taste of the mushrooms.

For my main course, I had the mesquite grilled Texas quail. After my appetizer, I knew whatever dish I ordered would have to be incredibly delicious to keep pace with what I had already tasted. I definitely was not disappointed! The quail was stuffed with wild mushrooms, roasted corn, dried apricot, apples and poblanos. It was served with a side of vegetables and roasted potatoes. All of this was cooked to absolute perfection.

The appetizer was $9.50 and the quail was $23.00 which I thought was very reasonable for such a fine meal. The quality of the food combined with the relaxing Riverwalk atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be visiting Boudro's again next time I am in San Antonio.
