In short, Bothwell is a small town in South Lanarkshire area. It lies on the right bank of the River Clyde, adjacent to Hamilton and 9 miles east-south-east of Glasgow. It is also right beside the M74, which one way leads to Glasgow and the other to Carlisle.
Bothwell is a gorgeous picturesque town and the village has attracted a number of local celebrities including a number of Old Firm footballers. Bothwell has earned its reputation as one of Glasgow's most prosperous satellites. In a recent survey it was revealed that Bothwell's Imperial Way, is the fifth most expensive street in Scotland.
Bothwell has two primary schools, Bothwell Primary School and St Bride's School, golf and bowling clubs. It also has several small shops and businesses, all of which are situated on its main street.

Mark and I got married in my church in the village of Bothwell, about 20 miles outside Glasgow. We had some photos taken at Bothwell Castle and our reception at Glenskirlie House, an amazing restaurant in a place called Banknock.
An amazing day...wish we could do it all over again!
