Great for the green fingered Sep 13, 2008
Within Singleton Park's old walled garden are the Botanical Gardens, once part of the estate of Lord Swansea. The Gardens have long been renowned for their internationally famous Rhododendrons but can now also boast the national Pelargonium collection. Fine specimens of rare and exotic plants from around the world. Plant collections from hot desert regions, rainforest areas and warmer regions around the globe can all be found in the hothouses. The Botanical Gardens are at their very best during August when the 'Botanics in Bloom' festival in on. Free admission. Winner of the Green Flag Award 2007.
