Free trip to Glasgow Botanic Gardens! Jan 04, 2009
It is situated in the west end of Glasgow. This is on the Great Western Road and you cannot miss it! You can go to the bus station and get a bus or if you'r eon the tour bus get off just a few metres away.
You walk through big gates straight into a large public park. I went during Autumn and it was so beautiful. Walking up to the domes I was looking for a place to pay an entry fee. Walked around for a little while looking but nothing. It was very unusual to find something that looked so beautiful as a free trip. The first part I went into lead to the amazing part of where all the orchards were. Walking around the gardens was amazinf, there was so much to see and I spent over two hours wandering around and taking photographs. There is one part where you walk in and you can see marble statues and a big pond with all different plants. There are some 'normal' plants there too. There is space outside for you to have a picnic and plenty or benches for you to sit on. For a free attraction it is definately worth visiting whilst in Glasgow. |

Other than that, we haven't done much in Glasgow. We went shoppin…… Glasgow |

Traveling to Glasgow was... a learning experience. Everyone told me
that finding flights on ryanair.com was a great way to save money, but
this is, at least based on my experience, untrue. Yes, the plane
tickets were cheap, but in order to get to…… A weary morning in Glasgow |

The next train to Glasgow took me through the sunlit mountains of northern England. Though esthetically pleasing, they were not as green as their Irish counterparts. On the train, I met a nice mother and daughter from Seychelles who late…… my first day in Scotland |
