 I will give you $500 if I can sleep on your couch! Oct 19, 2009
The best part about this hotel, is it is a very short walk from when you get off the train. Being that we had been traveling for 2 days, we had lost our sense of humor at that point. When we got off the train we found the first vendor and asked him where is the Hotel Bellini? He pointed to the first hotel on the corner. LOL.
So when we got there it was very early in the morning. They were overbooked and there was nothing to give us until check in. Needless to say, we were really no happy. That means we had 6-8 hrs to kill and nothing was even open. Walking around Venice in the winter at the break of dawn is creepy. We were so tired I was ready to knock on someones door and offer them $500 to crash on their couch. We camped in the lobby until finally a little bell guy felt sorry for us and went and got someone to clean a room faster for us so we could get in. For the most part we liked the hotel a lot. It was very overpriced for what we got but I was very comfortable there. The beds were comfortable the food was good. And since we won $3000 at the casino, we weren't complaining much about the price. I can't wait to go back to Venice, I loved it there. |

We had been traveling for three weeks. The anticipated highlight of our trip was to end our vacation with a stay at a first class hotel in Venice - so we booked a room at the Bellini. What a disappointment. The Bellini was the most expensive hot...read entire review at TravelPost.com

The past few days have been so high anxiety. Apparently, I must fly all the way back to Croatia and then to Frankfurt.......its a 500$ flight!! So, instead, Im flying from Barcelona to Milan, a train to Ancona, an overnight boat to Split, all to tak…… On my way to Barcelona!!! |
