Boots & Kimo Reviews

Five stars = "If I had to choose one last meal, it would be from here."

If you're visiting the Island of O'ahu and you love breakfast food, make sure to make it over to the Windward Side in the morning for some macadamia nut pancakes at Boots and Kimo. These pancakes are legendary because they are delicious little bits of heaven. (I reserve this type of language only for true little bits of heaven.) Even if you're not a big pancake eater, or are in the mood for one of the omelettes instead, order some macadamia nut pancakes for the table. You will finish the entire plate and your omelette.

My other favourite is the pulehu ribs. They come perfectly grilled with a little salt rubbed into them. Meat and rice in the morning with pancakes.. onolicious. Want something to drink? Ask for a glass of pog.

You will probably wait (up to an hour) for a table in the small restaurant, but believe me, it's worth it. Don't expect the friendliest service, but be polite and respectful and you will be rewarded.

Cash only.
