Book Early! London Reviews
Dec 18, 2006
I booked train tickets early and managed to get some very cheap tickets
for my destinations. The most expensive one I got was 14 pounds. But
you need to book single (aka one way) tickets, otherwise if you get
return tickets it costs a lot more. Go figure.
I used www.thetrainline.com to book mine, but you'll need to initially
have a UK postcode and address to use to sign up, then you can change
your info once you have your username and password set up. If you don't
want to - or can't - and you have a day or two between when you arrive
and when you have to travel on the train, you can book at one of the
main train stations and still get the cheaper tickets.
