Taking a stroll in Bonn Feb 15, 2012
Bonn was the provincial capital of West Germany in 1949, situated strategically next to the Rhein River.
Thus the area close to the Rhein River is mainly made up of former government offices/ residences and modern buildings housing the United Nation, DHL (HQ), Deutsche Telekom and DW Channel.
Having walked past all that, it was quite nice to stroll down by the Rhein River in the late afternoon. It had rained earlier so there was a cool breeze and there are people jogging along the passageway. There was a sense of serenity just strolling down by the river. Actually quite romantic lol! It was a perfect end for my day visit to Bonn :)
