Bondi to Coogee - coastal walk

As Bondi is very well known, I could not live in Sydney without going there. Though, as it is not the kind of beach I like (to big, to many people), I decided to do the coastal walk from there - which is also very well known. We were lucky on that week end not to have to many people doing it, mostly were sydneysiders running... (and I do not know how they can with such a hot weather!)

There are very nice spots from there, with the ocean and many beaches. I was quite interested in the cliffs, their forms are very unique there. We also crossed Waverley Cemetery which has a perfect view on the Ocean and which is very big and impressive.

It is 6km long, it took us a bit more than 2 hours but we stopped a lot! Signs are easy to follow. Even if it is an easy walk, there are quite a lot of steps at some points that can make it a bit hard for some people. It is very exposed so better do it with suncream and water!

We caught the bus 380 from the city to Bondi. Once at Coogee, you can take the 372 or 374 to go back to the city.

My friend told me about this walk! Take the bus out to Bondi beach .... I got off at Bondi South! Just across the street starts the walk. It takes about 2 hours one way depending how fast you walk and often you stop of course!! I took me much longer because I stopped here and there watched the surfers or just enjoyed the wonderful view, the beaches and cliffs!I think it is quite an easy walk here and there you will have "to climb" some steep sections. Beautiful place this is definitely something I would recommend to do while you are in Sydney!!!
