Best views of the beach!! Oct 02, 2011
Bondi Icebergs is actually a club, and I have come here on numerous occassions with friends for their food and drinks.

Located on the southern side of Bondi Beach, 'the Iceberg' (as we call it) definitely has the most spectacular views of the beach and ocean. It really is breathtaking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating - I definitely recommend sitting outdoors - but it can get quite windy at night with the sea breeze. If you do sit inside, you still have an amazing view, as they have glass windows from ceiling to the floor. You also get a great view of the surfers out on the waves.

They have a wide range of fresh seafood, big steaks, great snacks and desserts. They have daily specials which always please, as they are great value for money, and big servings. They have an open seating policy, which means they do not take bookings, so make sure you get there early on weekends as the place can fill up quickly. However, if you have a large group or a function, they will rope off an area for you.

Although in a very expensive and touristy part of Sydney, the Iceberg is reasonably priced, with discounts for members of the club. Drinks are cheap, although wine can be a little pricy, depending on which type you order and meals are between $10 and $30. The cocktail staff were excellent - efficient, friendly and courteous. Ambience was fabulous, but how can you go wrong with such a great location.

One downside is that there is no table service, and tables are very close together which made it hard to have a private conversation.

If you are looking to chill out for an afternoon lunch, have a drink, a bite to eat and to enjoy one of the best views in the world, two thumbs up :)
