Spectacular museum Aug 20, 2010
If you can only see one agricultural museum in the Færoes, you have a problem. if you can see two make it te national outdoor museum at Hoysvik and this one. Technically the name Bondagarðurin applies to the whole house, which dates back to the 17th century and the part open to the public, claimed to go back to the 12th century is the Roykstova.

This is probably one of the most successful and prosperous farms on the islands and the museum contains domestic, fishing and farming artefacts.

Kirkjubour is one of the ost historic places in the islands and was the principal city before Torshavn, with a far superior anchorage, passed it. Anybody visiting will want to see the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the Church os St Olav that served as the cathedral for centuries.
