Clean, but we couldn't recommend it for anything else. Nov 17, 2008
We were warned from other websites that this B&B was located in a dingy backwater near the Garibaldi station, but as we were only overnighting en route to and from Herculaneum and it looked very convenient. The multiple keys required to enter the secured yard, secured stairs and the third floor flat ensure you feel safe once you are inside but serve to warn you of about the area. Arrigo and Elizabeth are not waiting for you as they unsurprisingly choose to live elsewhere. No water, tea or coffee etc. available outside of breakfast hours. Owner seldom there (we saw him once in three days) & unpleasant if you dare suggest you were not entirely happy. Upside - it is clean if you don't mind the vacuuming at 7am......

My first few days in Naples I stayed at a hostel named "Hostel of the Sun" (HOTS). Lonely Planet had listed this hostel as their pick for the city. The Hostelworld website lists it in the top 10 hostels in the world, and has at least onc…… the best hostel in the world? |

Today was another travel day. A two hour train ride took us from Maratea to Naples. We are staying in a Holliday Inn, nice to stay in an American style hotel after all this time, and if that was not enough we got upgraded to a suite.&nbs…… Ciao Napoli |
