A cultural melting pot Apr 22, 2017
Bolsjefabrikken is a cultural melting pot housed in an abandoned warehouse and run by volunteers that focus on social and political activities. It was establish back in 2008 in some abandoned factory buildings which had housed a famous Danish candy brand Norrebro Bolsjer.

This alternative cultural institution is a non-profit, non-commercial space that aims to foster the work of young artists, musicians and performers alike. Waking around there is like getting in contact with the creativity of your youth. I enjoy looking at the Street Art with all its ballsy provocations and tagging. Strolling around the creative workshops and bike constructors who are developing new angles of biking.

Bolsjefabrikken houses everything from nightclubs to the Copenhagen Muay Thai boxing Cup who has been on the premises the last 9 years. There are plenty of events including Ludomanic Monday cafe nights where you can play board games and table tennis, underground music concerts on Saturdays, various artist workshops and even a free bike repair workshop on Wednesdays.
