Their opponent today: Marquette. Although a lowe…

Well, I'm all packed and ready to go, we'll see you on the other side. I had my qualms about only taking carry-on luggage for my 3.5-month adventure, but everything that I needed fits and now we'll see how much better "traveling light" is. I fly to Salt Lake, then NYC, then finally Lond…

I went for a concert, and got to visit my friends for a quick weekend. They drove me around town the day after the concert. We were all very much hung over so I didn't get many pictures!

Bike & Build provides young adults with the opportunity to participate in a cross-country bike trip across the US to raise awareness for affordable housing. My route cycled from Virginia Beach, VA to Cannon Beach, OR (5/15/08-7/25/08). Once a week, we traded our bikes in for hammers and helped with Habitat for Humanity or another affordable housing organization. It was, by far, the greatest travel experience I have ever had.

The PHL to PDX Ride to Benefit CancerCare is a result of the perseverance of Lauren Cocco and Chris Froberg. We stopped in Boise to take showers at the truck stop, which was a very nice truck stop. Taking a shower at a truck stop might not sound like it would be that great, but it can be. There are only a few things that truck stops can do to differentiate themselves and the other million truck stops, sho…

This is a BIG country. Did you realize that? BIG. I mean really really big. As in, I grossly miscalculated distances on this side of the Mississippi! I'm spending a LOT more time in the car than I expected to.

It started innocently enough; I visited Juneau, Alaska in June 1993 and explored the State Capitol building. A few months later, It was Montgomery, Alabama's. In the course of time, it became a hobby. Near the end it became a bit of an obsession. Then, in August of 2006, I visited my 50th US State Capitol building in Pierre, SD. (Yeh!)
Yes, I know, I'm a geography nerd....

After finishing the semester, I had high hopes for getting a summer job, earn some money, stay busy for the summer. I filled out numerous applications, had a few interviews, but nothing stuck. Fast forward to the beginning of June, still no job! As it turns out, my cousin needed help remodeling her…
