Butterfly Farm Oct 26, 2010
Well, it is my first time visiting a butterfly farm, i thought it is gonna be boring and dull, but surprisingly it was a lot of fun.

seen strange kinds of butterflies and larvae, was even lucky with a butterfly sticking to my tongue. very knowledgeable and fun guide.

i remember the guide mentioned that the off-white butter fly is the 3rd biggest, something like that

plz consider leaving a tip before leaving a 100 Pesos should be OK.

i do not remember paying an entrance fee, it should be cheap anyway.

i would recommend that you go for a private customized tour with a tour guide and a company car with a driver. this might cost you more but gonna save you alot of time & hassle running into a tricky local driver that might waste your time and you end up not seeing all the attractions you intended to see.

also, a tour guide and a tour planner at the tour company will make use of every min and gonna make Bohol trip a trip to remember.

a couple of tips:

if you are there for the attractions only, you should not spend more than 2 nights in Bohol, actually 1 night would be enough if planned carefully.

a tour with a local driver would cost around 1,500 - 2,000 Pesos but that includes neither furry trips, food nor other recreational activities. while a customized company tour with a guide and a driver would not cost more that 7,300 Pesos depending on the attractions you wanna see, but that includes a meal for 2, furry, and all. plus you are rest assured that you will get the best service. AH!! an remember that you should always BARGAIN!!

one more thing, when heading to the butterfly farm, it is better that you make it in the early morning hours in order to see butterflies in their active part of the day, when they will be flying every where, otherwise you will not see much.
