Chillax with a brew in NY Jan 31, 2012
Beer Garden in NYC (Astoria/Queens) is all I should have to say here. Right off the subway route in Astoria/ Queens (Astoria Blvd. stop) just east of NYC.

Spacious, great fun, good beer (International and domestic), good people and not too crowded usually. One of the older diners in the US is right around the corner also- called Neptune Diner. Best time of yr....spring time! late April and May.
Beer? yes please :)
I heart Beer Gardens and NY

I was told that the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is the only original remaining outdoor beer barden in NYC.

This is a FUN place to hang out with your friends (or go alone and meet new friends) in the Spring and Summer evenings. To sit in an out door (football field size) garden drinking $12 pitchers of beer while eating Czech, German, Polish, and other Barbecue food items was worth the trip to Astoria, Queens via the "N" train to the Astoria Blvd Station. FREE great live music throughout the evening was enjoyable.

The Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden ( is located at 29-19 24th Avenue, Astoria, New York 11102

I like the one in Jersey City, on weekends, LOTS OF FREE PARKING (Please Don't Drink and Drive : ), beer is slightly cheaper,, haven't tried the food yet, but its more of an American variety then anything else....
