Bodo Norway Mar 02, 2017
I was travelling around Norway by train, bus ,and ferry. Bodo is as far north as the train system goes in Norway. [ There is a short train rouute from Narvik into Sweden, that does not connect to the rest of Norway.] Further travel north from Bodo ,is Air, bus or ferry. The Hurtigruten ferry company runs a fleet of ferries from the south of Norway along the coast to the tip of Norway near the Russian border. In Bodo the ferry leaves from near the rail station at 15-00hrs north bound and 04-00hrs south bound.[ please check]. I took the north bound ferry ,this passes the Lofoten Islands. These islands are an archipelago that has been inhabitated since Viking times. There is a ferry service from Bodo to Lofoten islands takes 4 hours [ please check] Bodo is a small Norwegian town about 50,000 inhabitants. The town was heavily bombed in world war 11 and few buildings most newish.- Bodo has a Airport.
