Our first stop today was Mono Lake which is located just a stone's throw away from Lee Vining. The lake is famous for its exposed tufa towers. These fascinating structures are usually located beneath the surface. But in 1941 water was diverted from four of the tributaries that fed the Lake in order to provide water for Los Angeles. Few years ago I did a 4 weeks trip t the American west coast following an invitation from a good friend in San Francisco. We rent a car and explored some of California's beatifull spots. Later on I did a trip by myself as well taking a Greyhound bus to Seattle. It was a time full of impressions and experiences, a time I wouldn't like to miss.
